Stephen Kermit Chase, 63

Stephen Kermit Chase, 63 of Mariah Hill, passed away at his home Wednesday, May 14, at 10:05 p.m.

He was born May 17, 1950 in Wayne City, Ill., to Kermit and Vivian Chase.

Stephen was a receiving clerk at Thermwood Corporation in Dale. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Vivian Chase.

Stephen is survived by two daughters, Nichole Chase of Mariah Hill and Danielle Chase of Evansville; one son, Kyle Chase and his wife Meagan of Ferdinand; one brother, Stuart Chase and his wife Barb, of Taylorville, Ill.; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. CST, Monday, May 19 in Mary Help of Christians Church, Mariah Hill, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. CST Sunday and 7-9:30 a.m. CST, Monday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
