Stephen F. Sermersheim, 67

Stephen F. Sermersheim, 67, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 5:29 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014, at The Timbers of Jasper.
Stephen was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 14, 1947 to Alphonse and Jean (Bailey) Sermersheim.
Stephen was a graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1965 and a graduate of Lockyear’s Business College in Evansville, Indiana. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He worked as an IOSHA inspector for 32 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, the V.F.W. Post #673, the Jasper K of C, and a past member of the American Legion Post #147 .
He enjoyed bowling and going to the movies. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and high school sports fan.
He is survived by two sisters, Kathlyn Sermersheim of Indianapolis and Patricia Watts and her husband, Fred, of Jasper; one brother, Keith Sermersheim of Jasper; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is one brother, Joseph Sermersheim, who died in infancy.
Funeral services for Stephen F. Sermersheim will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Fr. Ray Brenner will officiate. The V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rites.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
