State Road 64 closed in Huntinburg until Friday, Sept. 19
Norfolk Southern has rescheduled railroad crossing closures to begin Wednesday, Sept. 17 at State Road 257 in Velpen and Monday, Sept. 15 at State Road 64 in Huntingburg.
NS crews anticipate closing SR 257 in Velpen for three work days of railroad crossing repairs ending on Friday, Sept. 19. The detour for SR 257 traffic will follow SR 64, SR 61 and SR 56.
NS crews will close SR 64 just east of U.S. 231 in Huntingburg for five work days of railroad crossing repairs ending on Friday, Sept. 19. The detour for SR 64 traffic will follow U.S. 231 and S.R. 162.
In both locations, local traffic will have access up to the railroad crossing, where all lanes will be closed and no through traffic will be allowed.
