State reports 39 new Covid-19 cases in Dubois County
Saturday, the Indiana State Department of Health recorded 39 new positive cases of Covid-19 in Dubois County.
This brings the total number of cases up to 2,258 since the pandemic began and 30 residents have died from Covid-19.
11,761 Dubois County residents have been tested.
About 17.6 percent of the ICU beds in Region 10 remain available with 49.5 percent of them taken by Covid-19 patients. Region 10 encompasses Dubois, Vanderburg, Warrick, Knox, Posey, Spencer, Daviess, Martin, Crawford, Perry, Pike, and Gibson counties.
The Indiana Department of Health today also announced 6,983 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 289,183 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 4,992 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 40 from the previous day. Another 254 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

Testing:
For local testing, the site at 400 S. Clay St. in Jasper is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
You can register for an appointment at https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/. At the website, you will have to click “I don’t have an invitation code.”
If you do not have internet you can call the primary phone at 812-329-0523. If no one answers, leave a message and they will call you back.
Results should be available within 72 hours. If you do not get your results, you can call the Indiana State Department of Health at 1-877-826-0011.
Testing is for anyone who lives or works in Indiana. Anyone can be tested, even those not showing symptoms. There is no charge for the testing. However, if you do have private health care insurance, you are asked to bring that to the testing site.
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center also has a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site located at the former Old National Bank building next to Fazoli’s on the corner of Third Avenue and Rumbach Street in Jasper.
A physician/provider order and appointment time are required. Drive-thru times are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call Memorial Hospital’s COVID-19 hotline at 812-996-6330 with any questions.
You can also get evaluated for Covid-19 at the Memorial Urgent Care, 507 E. 19th Street, Huntingburg and at the Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Jasper.
