Stanley Hurm, 82, Fulda

Stanley Hurm, 82, of Fulda, passed away on September 1, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Stanley was born May 23, 1944, in Fulda to Hugo and Ann (Stratman) Hurm.

He married Patricia Johnson on May 26, 1973, in Lemont, Ill.

‘She preceded him in death in 1987.

Stanley then married Carolyn Morgan on April 7, 1995, in Spencer County.

Stanley served in the Navy aboard the USS Princeton LPH-5.

He enjoyed gardening, mowing grass and enjoyed a cold beer at the end of the day.

He loved being with his family and grandkids. Stanley loved his two dogs, Maggie and Annie.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Fulda; three sons, John (Tiffany Linville) of Chandler, Richard Wegrzyn of St. Meinrad and Ricky (Neilecia) VanWinkle of Tell City; two daughters, Laurie Schlachter of St. Meinrad and Kelly Alvey of Tell City; two brothers, David (Laurie) Hurm of Cleveland, OH., Gregory Hurm of Schererville, IL; two sisters, Judy (Carlos) Gutierrez of Huntingburg and Becky (Tony) Bazan of Joliet, IL.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Stanley was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; his sister, Linda Goelz; and his son, Jeffery Morgan.

No services will be held at this time.
