St. Joseph’s Social Concerns Committee seeking donations to help new mothers

The Social Concerns Committee of Saint Joseph Parish will be accepting donations for mothers and babies in the north parking lot at the parish on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. 

There will be no need to get out of your car.

You are asked to consider donating items needed by new mothers and their babies. A list of suggested items includes nursing supplies, creams, toiletry items, laundry soap, everyday items, diaper bags, picture frames for mothers and for babies, rattles, blankets, diapers, teething rings, burp cloths, wipes, books, bibs, bottles, sleepers, socks, onesies, pacifiers.

The group emphasized help is needed more this year than ever.

Saint Joseph Social Concerns committee along with their Respect Life program will use these items to support area needs including the Tri Cap Healthy Families program, Crisis Connection, and Community Food Bank.
