Special bourbon lottery supports Next Steps Recovery Home

A recent right-to-buy lottery for several special bottles of bourbon held by Holiday and Wooden Keg Liquors raised $11,270 for the Next Steps Recovery Home in Jasper.

This lottery of 30-plus bottles included highly sought-after bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle, Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, and several super rare bourbons. This is the fifth Bourbon Charity Raffle the Jasper company has held, and through these events, more than $43,000 has been raised to support local nonprofits.

Next Steps Recovery Home, through a partnership with Behind the Wire ministries, operates a men’s recovery home on Brosmer Street in Jasper. The home can house up to five men working through the second phase of substance abuse recovery. The first 45-day phase of the recovery process is completed at the Behind the Wire campus in Loogootee.
