Solid Waste Board hires Kraft

The Dubois County Solid Waste Management District Board hired Lee W. Kraft Jr. of Jasper as the new district director on Friday.

Kraft most recently worked with The Servants, a manufacturer and distributor of packaging products, as a safety and environmental manager.

Board President Greg Kendall stated Kraft’s extensive experience in a variety of areas placed him at the forefront of candidates to replace outgoing director Toni Lubbers.

Kraft will start work on Tuesday and work with Lubbers until Friday, her last day.

Lubbers is returning to her former position at Consolidated Resource Recovery, a wood waste processing facility located in Sarasota, Fla.
