Six juveniles ejected, two taken to hospital after 4-wheeler collision
Pike County—Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident that involved six juveniles and sent two to the hospital Saturday.
The accident happened when two four-wheelers being operated on County Road 900S about half a mile west of the State Road 61 intersection were driving in line with each other at about 4:45 p.m. The lead four-wheeler slowed down and the operator of the second four-wheeler following it failed to realize what was happening and rear-ended it.
The two four-wheelers being driven collided rolled and ejected all six occupants. One of the juveniles involved was taken to Daviess Community Hospital with head and arm injuries. Another was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper and treated for road rash and a wrist injury.
The juveniles involved ranged from 13 to 15 years of age and none of them were wearing helmets or safety gear
