Five county roads impacted by flooding

The Dubois County Highway Department reports that six county roads have been closed due to water levels from the Patoka River, Hunley Creek, and several other waterways.

In District 1, two Madison Township roads are closed — CR 875 West south of CR 150 North due to Little Flat Creek, and Ell Creek Road north of CR 400 South due to the Patoka River.

District 1

  • Madison Twp — Ell Creek Road, North of CR 400 South (Patoka River)

Districts 2 remains clear with no active closures.

In District 3, three Patoka Township roads are closed, all tied to Hunley Creek and Bruner Creek in the areas south and west of Huntingburg. CR 400 South east of US 231, CR 130 West north of CR 400 South, and 1st Street in Huntingburg west of CR 75 West are all affected.

  • Patoka Twp — 1st Street – Huntingburg, West of CR 75 West (Bruner Creek)

Motorists are advised to avoid flooded roads and never attempt to drive through standing water. Road conditions are being monitored and closures will be updated as water levels change.
