Sisters of St. Benedict to offer “Stringing Beads of Blessing” Workshop.
Ferdinand — The Sisters of St. Benedict will be offering “Stringing Beads of Blessing,” a Blessing Beads workshop, on Saturday, November 11, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. EST in the St. Scholastica Room at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand.
Blessing beads are looped strands of beads that celebrate the fortunate events, wonderful people and beautiful things in your life.
The “Stringing Beads of Blessing” workshop will be led by Sharon Bittner, who is an artist, an Oblate of the Sisters of St. Benedict and a former member of their religious community. It will include song, meditation, a time of sharing around the topic of “what is a blessing?”, a time to gather beads to represent your own individual blessings, a time to prayerfully string your beads, and a time devoted to memory and gratitude. For those who are able to join us, a lunch will follow.
Those interested in participating in the “Stringing Beads of Blessing” workshop may register online by visiting http://www.thedome.org/programs. The cost to participate is $30, which includes all materials and lunch.
