Sisters of St. Benedict to hold Cosmic Walk presentation

Ferdinand–The Sisters of St. Benedict will hold a presentation on the Story of Creation and the Cosmic Walk at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand on Wednesday, September 4 at 6:30 p.m. EDT at the Benedict Hospitality Center.

In case of rain, it will be moved to Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. EDT. There is no charge to participate.

From the comfort of the Benedict Hospitality Center, participants will spend time hearing about the Story of the Universe and the Story of Creation as we know it based on the discoveries of scientists. Following this, there will be an opportunity to explore and experience the Cosmic Walk as a way to reflect on the presentation. Located on the grounds of Monastery Immaculate Conception, the Cosmic Walk is a walking meditation that offers a glimpse into our sacred origins. The 0.5 mile path is an easy walk through the woods, and those unable to walk the path may experience the stations via PowerPoint slides.

To attend this free event, register online at http://www.thedome.org/cosmic-walk, or call (812) 367-1411, ext. 2842.
