Sisters of St. Benedict Offer Silent Directed Retreat at the Monastery
The Sisters of St. Benedict are offering a Silent Directed Retreat, a time to renew and revitalize body, mind and spirit with rest and prayer in a peaceful environment. Under the guidance of a certified Spiritual Director, this retreat will open and close with a prayer service. There will be opportunities for personal reflection, reading, walking and praying daily with the Benedictine community. All meals will be in silence with meditative music.
Silent Directed Retreats are led by members of the Spiritual Direction team for the Ferdinand Benedictine community, and attendees will meet with a Spiritual Director once every day.
This Silent Directed Retreat will take place from 7:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 11 until 10:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, Sept. 18 at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand. Overnight accommodations will be provided in the Benedictine Hospitality Center at the monastery. The cost is $800 for the week, which includes meals, overnight accommodations and spiritual direction.
September 4 is the registration deadline. To reserve a spot or learn more, email hospitality@thedome.org, call 812-367-1411, ext. 2842, or visit www.thedome.org/september-directed-retreat.
