Sisters of St. Benedict invite the public to a community prayer event

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. EST, the Sisters of St. Benedict invite the public to join them in prayer in St. Gertrude Hall at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, IN.

The event, part of The 100 Days of Prayer, Fasting and Advocacy initiative of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious unites religious communities and the public across the United States in prayer for peace and justice. This
gathering is free and open to all, and no registration is necessary.

We believe prayer matters. It leads us to respond to the needs of the people of God. Prayer not only petitions God’s help, but allows us to focus on tangible ways in which we can alleviate the suffering of others. The 100 Days of Prayer, Fasting, and Advocacy initiative focuses nationwide prayer on critical issues including justice, peace, human dignity, immigration and the health of our people and our planet. The Sisters of St. Benedict invite the public to join them in prayer as they seek to be a light for the world and a witness of peace in the midst of harm.
