Students from Dubois Elementary participated in a special shopping experience with firefighters from the Dubois, Haysville and Celestine Volunteer Fire Departments on Saturday morning.
In its 13th year, the event included 21 children who met with the firefighters and then shopped for clothing and toys. They were then escorted to Dubois Fire Station for lunch provided by McDonald’s and a meeting with Santa Claus.
The event is funded through the sale of chicken dinners and local donations.
