Shoals High School weapon scare unfounded
Shoals – Today, Shoals Community High School administrators and teachers, as well as, Indiana State Police and Martin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a weapon being brought on the high school campus at about 9:45 a.m.
According to Dr. Joan Keller, Shoals Community School Superintendent, they received a notification of the potential weapon on the campus. “We had an accusation of a weapon being on campus,” she said. “With the state police, the sheriff’s department, and school personnel did a thorough search of the building and spoke to the two children and come to the conclusion that there was nothing here. All of the kids are safe and they weren’t in danger and we’re back to having school.”
Keller also stated the students involved would face disciplinary action according to the school’s policy.
