Shirley Ann Payne, 77

Shirley Ann Payne, age 77, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 1:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
She was born March 25, 1937 in Ferdinand, Indiana, to Roman and Evelyn (Whipking) Zink.
She married Edward I. Payne August 7, 1957 in Shawneetown, Illinois.
Shirley was a homemaker, a regular attendee at the Dale Bible Church, and enjoyed having her family as the center of her life.
She was preceded in death by: her mother and father; two brothers, Charles Zink and Joseph Zink; and two sisters, Rosemary Owen and Wanda Payne.
She is survived by her husband, Edward I. Payne, Sr. of Huntingburg; four daughters and two son-in-laws, Pam Payne of Evansville, Debbie Smith of Huntingburg, Sharlene (Ron) Schitter of Jasper and Julie (Mike) Eckert of Holland; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ed Payne, Jr. of Huntingburg, Jon (Cheryl) Payne of West Baden and Kevin Payne of Princeton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathy Nelson of Petersburg, Barbara (Zonia) Tredway of Huntingburg; two brothers and one sister-in-law,
James Zink, Sr. of Huntingburg and Terry (Debbie) Zink, Sr. of Jasper; and 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Shirley Payne will be held at 10:00 a.m. EDT, on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Pastor Nick Clark will officiate at the services.
