Sheriff’s Department seeking help identifying vehicle/driver

Dubois County Sheriff Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and its driver that left the scene of an accident early Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to the crash on U.S. 231 just north of the Interstate 64 at about 2:14 a.m. They reported that a 2010 Dodge van was side-swiped by an older model green or gray pickup described as possibly being a Dodge just north of County Road 1200S.

The driver, Jeremy L Thomas, 2413 Scenic Ct., and passenger, Tiffany Thomas, of the same address, told police the southbound pickup entered their lane of traffic. Thomas said he swerved to miss the vehicle but his van was struck on the driver’s side. The suspect vehicle fled the seen.
