Sheriff thanks community for K-9

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department issued a thank you to all who have donated to the K-9 fund.
The department also acknowledged the donation of $7,500 from the Dubois County Community Foundation in 2013 to assist in the care of Deputy Bradley Kendall’s K-9 partner, Judge.
The new K-9 officer has assisted in the fight against what Sheriff Donnie Lampert stated referred to as the drug plague in Dubois County. “We believe Judge has and will continue to make Dubois County safer,” Lampert said in a press release, “and help enable a drug free community in fulfilling their dreams.”
The sheriff has stated he hopes to acquire a second K-9 to work the opposing shift. This will ensure the county will always have a K-9 unit available.
