Sharon Ruth Fogleson, 79, of Indianapolis

Sharon Ruth Fogleson, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 24, 2026. 

She was born February 7, 1947, in Washington, Ind., to Charles and Wilma (Buchta) Hudson. 

Sharon graduated from Otwell High School in 1965 and attended Vincennes University. 

She married William Alva Fogleson on June 28, 1969, and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2002, after 33 years of marriage.  Sharon was a training instructor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 13 years, a medical terminology teacher at a Community College in Arizona from 1990 until 1993, and she also worked for the Indiana Tissue Bank.  After retirement, she worked part-time as a ride-share driver. 

Sharon was a longtime member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church, where she was active in United Women in Faith.

Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 7995 East 21st Street, Indianapolis.

Sharon is survived by her children, Will Fogleson and Amy Fogleson Lindsey (Rick); grandchildren, Shelby Conway and Ricky Lindsey; and brother, Don Hudson (Karen).

Final arrangements and care are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
