Santa Claus Museum announces new director
Nell Hedge is looking forward to immersing herself in the history of the jolly town of Santa Claus as the new director of the Santa Claus Museum and Village.

“I’ve really enjoyed learning about Santa Claus and look forward to getting involved in the community,” Hedge said.
Hedge has a background in tourism and graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in tourism management and has experience in education, communications and community outreach.
Nell and her husband, Dave, recently relocated to southern Indiana after living in Texa s.their two sons currently attend the University of Oklahoma.
Pat Koch, president of the Santa Claus Museum & Village Board of Directors and chief elf, explained that Hedge is the perfect choice to take over the reins at the museum.
“Nell’s education and experience made her an excellent choice for the director position,” she said. “We’re very happy to have her join the team.”
Hedge replaces former director Emily Thompson, who wraps up her tenure this week.
The Santa Claus Museum & Village is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the history of Santa Claus, Indiana, and perpetuates the tradition of Santa’s Elves Inc. by answering letters to Santa.
