Santa Claus coming to town next Friday

Next Friday, November 28, Santa will greet children at the 6th Street Fire Station from noon until 12:45 p.m. before taking off on a short parade up to the square in a firetruck at about 1 p.m.

Anyone is welcome to walk with the mini-parade along with members of the high school band as they head up to the Community Christmas Tree on the west side of the Square, where a young child (a contest winner) will turn on the Christmas tree lights and then open the door to Santa’s house.

Children are encouraged to dress up as Christmas packages for the parade

Mayor Vonderheide will welcome everyone with a special greeting!

Children can then visit with Santa (in his special house) all afternoon until 3:00 p.m.

Children and families can bring canned goods that will be donated to the Community Food Bank!
