Sandra “Sandy” Kaye Brittain, 80, Otwell

Sandra “Sandy” Kaye Brittain, 80, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at her home in Otwell.

Sandy was born on June 27, 1943 to Cecil and Helen (Abbott) Bement in Pike County, Indiana. 

She married Merlin L. Brittain on September 1, 1962.

She is survived by children, Grant Brittain, Nichole Wininger and Mark Brittain, all of Otwell; grandchildren, Hannah, Dylon and Colton; great-grandchildren, Addelynn and Ava, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin; son, Robert “Rob” Brittain; siblings, John and Don Bement, Sr., Martha Lou Shimer and Priscilla Johnson; and a brother in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Otwell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
