Sandra “Sandy” Dianne Haskins, 66,
Sandy D. Haskins, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Ind. She was surrounded by her family and listening to her favorite songs as she passed from this life.

Sandy was born in Jasper, Ind., on August 15, 1958, to Alfred E. and Lois J. (Wibbeler) Ruckriegel.
She married Rodney D. Haskins on October 24, 1981, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper. They were blessed with almost 43 years of marriage and a wonderful, fulfilling family.
Sandy graduated from Jasper High School in 1976. She worked as a restaurant manager for many years, including the Holiday Inn and the Fiesta, before becoming a homemaker and caring for her four growing daughters.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper.
She enjoyed taking car rides in her convertible with her husband, listening to Jimmy Buffet, talking with friends, traveling to white sands and turquoise waters, being at McCormick’s Creek and, above all, spending time with her grandbabies. Sandy was most at home with a baby in her lap.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Rod Haskins; four daughters: Jayme (Matt) Buechler, Amanda (Adam) Merrimon, Heidi Huckelby, all of Jasper, Allison (Joshua) Singleton of Richmond; 13 grandchildren, Sarah, Maria and Katelyn Buechler; Casandra and Braden Merrimon; Lacy, Vincent and Patrick Huckelby; Joshua II, Kara, Aletheia, Grayson and Gwen Singleton; four sisters and a brother: Cindy (John) Ambs of Zionsville, Patty Brosmer of Jasper, Sue (Steve) Hogue of Jasper, Sam Ruckriegel of Jasper, and Jodie (Kipp) Wallace of Bedford; her Goddaughter, Stephanie (Jeremy) Wood of Jasper; bonus grandkids, Marissa Gonzalez, Logan, Jack and Lucy Wood, all of Jasper; many nieces and nephews
Proceeding her in death besides her parents are two sisters: Charlene “Mutz” Smith and Pamela Ruckriegel; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Michael Brosmer, Judy Haskins, Nina Haskins and Mona Ruckriegel; two nieces, Kathy Smith and Kiersten Caudill.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Sandy Haskins from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Jasper. A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor John Duncan, will be held during the celebration from 6 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Jasper or to a favorite charity.
