Sandra A. Bleemel, 66

Sandra A. Bleemel, age 66, of Hillham, Ind., passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Sandra was born in Martin County, Ind. on April 25, 1947 to Hanley and Helen (Street) Padgett.

She married Robert F. Bleemel on May 1, 1965 in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois.

Sandra was a homemaker and had worked for Wabash Valley Produce and later for Wal Mart, from which she retired.

She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois.

She enjoyed watching soap operas, traveling, and watching NASCAR and wrestling. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Bleemel, of Hillham; three daughters, Cathy Bleemel and her partner Glen Siddons, of St. Anthony, Susan Fullerton and her husband Troy, of Jasper, and Staci Rhoderick, of Henderson, Ky.; one son, Harold Bleemel and his partner Sarah Kemp, of Hillham; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vicki Qualkenbush and her husband Dave, of Loogootee, Ruth Meyer and her husband Gary, of Jasper, and Sue Hembree, of Loogootee; two brothers, Harold Street and his wife, Lila, and Philip Street and his wife, Virginia, both of Loogootee.

Preceding her in death is one brother Robert Street.

Funeral services for Sandra A. Bleemel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois, Indiana with burial to follow at a later date.

Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 a.m. service time on Thursday at the church.
