Samuel L. Cooper, 70

Samuel L. Cooper, 70, of Dale, went to a better world Aug. 13, 2015 at the Timbers in Jasper.

Sam was born in Rockport, March 17, 1945, to George S. and Agnes (Cecil) Cooper. He graduated from Rockport High School in 1964, served in the U.S. Air Force, and married Sue Leroy in 1969.

He had been employed by the Rockport Journal, Energy Supply and Holland Dairy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Cooper; an infant daughter, Susan Elizabeth; a brother, Les Canary.

Sam will be missed by three brothers Bill Canary of Evansville, Jim Cooper of Ferdinand and Steve Copper of Utica, Ky.; sister Cathy Green of Grandview; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 19, at 11 a.m. CST at Dale Cemetery.

Fuller Funeral Home in Dale is handling the arrangements.
