Ryan A. Herbig, 43

Ryan A. Herbig, 43, of Jasper, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the home of his parents in Ferdinand.

Ryan was born September 14, 1972 in Huntingburg to Anthony “Tony” & Diane (Ebert) Herbig.

Surviving are his parents, Anthony “Tony” & Diane Herbig of Ferdinand; one brother, Jason Herbig and his companion, Kimberly Allen of Jasper; one niece, Cassie Herbig of Jasper.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leo & Viola Ebert, & his paternal grandparents, Othmar & Juanita Herbig.

Ryan was a mechanical engineer for Essig Research & Development Company in Cincinnati. Ryan was a 1991 graduate of Forest Park High School. He received a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Indiana State University in 1997, where he was a member of Lamda Chi fraternity. Ryan was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish. He enjoyed remodeling structures, traveling, repairing electronics, & computers.

Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3rd, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 7 to 8:30 a.m Saturday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
