Ruth Wineinger, 83

Ruth Wineinger, 83, of Cuzco, passed away at 2:52 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at her daughter’s residence in Cuzco.

Ruth was born November 12, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Leonard and Elizabeth (Blevins) Baker. She married Harold Warren Wineinger on June 28, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1988.

Ruth had previously worked in quality control at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company, had been employed at Wininger’s Floral and Wabash Valley Produce. She was a member of the French Lick Senior Citizens where she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with friends and attended the dances. She dearly loved sprts and was known to play fast pitch softball earlier in her life. She was a faithful University of Kentucky fan and an avid bowler. She was known as the first woman to bowl a 600 series at the bowling lanes in Jasper. She was a member of the Hillham Church of Christ in Christian Union and she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Claude) Jones of Cuzco, and sons, Greg (Angie) Wineinger of Cuzco and Larry (Michelle) Wineinger of Cuzco, grandchildren, Emily Woolems, Tyler Wineinger, Amanda Jones, Tia Wineinger, Kirby Wineinger, Kyle Jones, Tessa Wineinger and great grandchildren, Keyton, Karter, Tucker, Ripken and Brynley.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a sister, Martha Mattingly and brother, Jimmy Baker.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Hillham Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Mike Grable and Rev. Danny Mattingly officiating. Burial will be at Cuzco Cemetery in Cuzco. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at T.L. Pinnick Mortuary and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
