Ruth R. Sherman, 82

Ruth R. Sherman, age 82 of Jasper, passed away Tuesday (December 20, 2011) in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born January 27, 1929 in Jasper to Leo and Catherine (Schilling) Sherman.

Ruth Sherman retired from the Jasper Wood Products Furniture Company where she had worked for 43 years..

She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

She enjoyed working Jig-Saw puzzles and Dominos and playing cards.

Daughter,

  • Rebecca Phelps, Hardinsburg, IN

2 Grandchildren,

  • Julie Foster
  • Isaac Phelps

and seven great grandchildren

Sister,

  • Marie Peters, Jasper, IN

Also nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are one sister Leona Sherman and two brothers, Walter J. Sherman and Leroy Sherman.

Services for Ruth Sherman will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday (December 23, 2011) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday (December 22, 2011) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
