Ruth Mendel, 67, Dale

Ruth Mendel, 67, Dale, died on Nov. 15, at Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 1, 1949 in Dale, Indiana to Carl and Helen (Waninger) Roos. She married David Mendel on June 1, 1968. She retired as a Customer Service Rep for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale, and Christian Mothers. She retired as a customer service representative for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

She is survived by her husband David; two sons, Jeff of Dale and Steve of Carmel; brothers, Bill Roos of Dale, Eddie Roos of Huntingburg and David Roos of Dale; three sisters, Linda Ebert of Greenwood, Ind., Mary Guth of Dale of Debbie Roos of Santa Claus; grandson, Mason Mendel at home; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings Joann Tuggle, Judy Roos and Leo Roos.

A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Friday, November 18, at 2 p.m. CDT at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, November 18 from 10 a.m. CDT till the service at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
