Ruth B. Jones, 91

Ruth B. Jones, 91, of Huntingburg, passed away at 3:24 a.m., on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at her residence.

She was born February 10, 1924 in Perry County, Indiana, to James A. and Ida (Taylor) Lanman.

Ruth was a homemaker and member of Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in Bristow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Jones, who died September 1, 1983; three brothers, Everett, Ervin and Cliston Lanman; and five sisters, Evelyn Gaines, Irma Wright, Ruby Klem, Betty Egbert and Dorothy Murphy.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Jean Hopper of Dale; one son, Dennis Jones of Huntingburg; one sister, Lana Lanman of Huntingburg; one brother, Flavis Lanman of Huntingburg; three grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.

Funeral services for Ruth Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Lilly Dale Cemetery in Gatchel, Indiana.  Elder Dan Aders will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday; and also from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
