Ruth Ann Harpenau, 85, Bristow

Ruth Ann Harpenau, 85, passed away on April 12, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Bristow on April 27, 1937.

Ruth Ann was united in marriage on September 15, 1956, at St. Joe Catholic Church, in Bristow, to Hubert F. Harpenau.

She was an active member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Ruth Ann enjoyed vegetable gardening and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her baking, especially her coconut pies.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Hubert F. Harpenau of Bristow; son, Craig Harpenau and wife, Sara, of Bristow; grandchildren, Samantha Hubert (Byron), Sidney Raetz (Billy) and Sloan Voges (Josh); great-grandchildren, Roman and June Hubert, Cooper Raetz (and expecting two more great-grandchildren in early summer); and a sister, Sandy Cassidy, Bristow.

Ruth Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Preston Fergason and Elsie (Esarey) and Homer McDaniel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. CDT on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Rev. Luke Waugh will officiate. Private burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church.  

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Church Cemetery.
