Roy Zehr, 59

Roy Zehr, 59, of Dubois IN, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Thursday, July 17 2014 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Ind.
Roy was born on June 20, 1955 in Jasper, Indiana to Leonard and Betty (Meyer) Zehr.
Roy had worked for Leitz Tooling Systems in Jasper for many years.
He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois, where he served on the church council. He was member of the National Rifle Association. He had previously served on the Dubois Fire Department, and was a past member of the Dubois Community Club.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, and spending time on the White River.
He is survived by two two stepdaughters, Angie Moffitt and her husband David, of Crystal and Christina Hudson, of Florida; three sisters, Sandra Kluesner of Jasper, Kimberly Goodman and her husband Ted, of Celestine, and Peggy Freiberger and her husband David, of Greenville, Ind.; two nieces, Jennifer Titzer of Evansville and Keri Johnson of Jeffersonville; two nephews, Jeffrey Kluesner of Dubois and Adam Oxley of New Albany; great -nieces and -nephews.
Preceding Roy in death was one son, Jeremy Zehr, and his parents.
Funeral services for Roy Zehr will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois, IN, with burial to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Dubois. The Rev. John Sterrett will officiate.
