Roy E. Stilwell, Jr., 81

Roy E. Stilwell, Jr., 81, of Velpen, Indiana, passed away at 6:46 p.m., on Saturday, December 27, 2014, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born March 31, 1933 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Roy Sr. and Leora (Bayer) Stilwell. He married Patricia Dedman in 1959 at Bristow, Indiana.
Roy retired from Executive Furniture where he was a factory worker. He was a member of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church; a member of the Jasper RC Flyers; and served as a corporal in the United States Army in Company D of the 57th Tank Battalion from 1953-1955.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Leora Stilwell; one son, Brad Stilwell; and two brothers, Donnie Stilwell and Larry Alan Stilwell.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Stilwell of Velpen; his father, Roy Stilwell, Sr. of Huntingburg; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Stilwell and Steve Stilwell and his wife Beth, all of Huntingburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Bell and her husband Tony of Evansville; one sister, Ruth Flannelly of Pittsboro, N.C.; two half-brothers, Jimmy Stilwell of Evansville and Raymond Stilwell of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation for Roy E. Stilwell, Jr. will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014; and also from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at which time friends and family will go in procession to Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville for a graveside service and interment.
Elder Steve Stilwell will officiate and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
