Rosemarye J. Blessinger, 90, of Streamwood, Ill., passed comfortably at home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Rosemarye was born in Ireland, Indiana, on November 24, 1933, to Martin and Anna (Hopf) Blessinger.
She was a 1951 graduate of Ireland High School.
She worked at Jasper Company and Kimball. She moved to Texas and worked at General Motors. She retired in 1998 from EDS where she worked alongside Ross Perot which she was most proud of.
Rosemarye enjoyed traveling and was a true die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. She was fond of Laura and Deb’s grandchildren and enjoyed their visits and being called “grandma Rosie.”
She is survived by her loving friend and long-time caregiver, Laura Hamm of Elgin, Ill., Pete Hamm, Peter and Jacob Hamm, who also assisted with her caregiving; dear friends, Pat Hopf, Vickie McClurg, Waureen Sanders, Deb Foshager, and many other friends and cousins.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Margie Blessinger and Lorena Ida Blessinger; two siblings who passed away in childbirth, Michael and Martina Blessinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosemarye J. Blessinger will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation on Friday will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service.
