Rosemary L. Binkley, age 97 of Jasper, passed away at 8:45 p.m., Sunday (January 6, 2013) at Brookside Village in Jasper, IN.

Rosemary was born on March 30, 1915 in Jasper, IN to Andrew W. and Caroline (Moutoux) Berger. She married Ezra (EK) Binkley on April 6, 1941 in Jasper, IN. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2007.

Rosemary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, the St. Ann’s Society, the Daughters of Isabella, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Madeleva Literary Club, and the Jasper Rose Society. She was a longtime volunteer at Memorial Hospital where she worked in the gift shop and delivered mail to all the patients.

She was an avid bridge player and loved to work her daily crossword puzzles. She and her late husband enjoyed traveling.

Preceding Rosemary in death besides her husband are two infant sons, brothers Thomas “Rags” and Sylvester “Bugs” Berger, Sisters Alma Kilby and Dorothy Adam, and two sisters who died in infancy.

Funeral services for Rosemary Binkley will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday (January 10, 2013) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (January 9, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Ann’s Society will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Dubois County Community Foundation, the Dubois County Humane Society, or a favorite charity.
