Rosemary Hopf, 74, Otwell

Rosemary Hopf, 74, of Otwell, passed away at 12:08 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019, at The Timbers of Jasper. 

Rosemary was born in Jasper on March 25, 1944, to Albert and Frances (Hauser) Fehribach. She married Kenneth Hopf on April 18, 1963, in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2009.

She was a homemaker and a  member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading, and playing games on the computer. 

She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Traylor (Jeff) of Rockport, Connie Goebel of Evansville, Sharon Fort (Lou) of Otwell and Patty Schwartz (Richard) of St. Henry; three sons, Kerry Hopf of Otwell, David Hopf (Teresa) of Dubois and Roger Hopf (Tracy) of Jasper; 23 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; four sisters, Rita Gress of Ireland, Jean Eck of Jasper, Patsy Dunkel of Jasper and Dolores Johnson of Switz City, Ind.; four brothers, Johnny Fehribach of Florida, Joseph Fehribach (Sandy) of Jasper, Thomas Fehribach of Jasper and Jimmy Fehribach of Loogootee.

Preceding her in death beside her husband was one granddaughter, Payton Hopf; two sisters, Lucille Crockett and Viola Fehribach; and one brother Karl Fehribach.  

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosemary Hopf will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
