Rosemary Hohl, 89, Huntingburg

Rosemary Hohl, 89, Huntingburg, passed away at 9:15 p.m., on Sunday, May 15, 2016, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born November 14, 1926, in St. Anthony to William and Catherine (Bonifer) Fleck. She married Jerome A. Hohl on September 11, 1948, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.
Mrs. Hohl worked as a cook at the former St. Mary’s School cafeteria and as a furniture factory worker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and loved doing needlework and spending time with her family.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome A. Hohl, who died December 17, 1997; one son, Tim Hohl; two brothers, Virgil Fleck and Ernest Fleck; and two sisters, Virginia Small and Dorothy Tabor.
She is survived by one son, Kerry Hohl of Huntingburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane (John) Wendholt of Huntingburg; her very dear friend, Faye Ransome of Huntingburg; three grandchildren, Kim Butler, Abbey Hohl and Tracy Eckstein; two step-grandchildren, Jason Evans and Deborah Walter; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Rosemary Hohl will be held at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. A parish rosary prayer vigil will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
