Rosella “Sally” M. Beard, 98, Jasper

Rosella “Sally” M. Beard, 98, of Jasper, passed away at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Sally was born in Jasper, Indiana on October 3, 1917 to William F. and Rose (Eberhardt) Beckman.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and their St. Ann’s Society. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #147 Auxiliary. Sally worked at Jasper Wood Products for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is survived by one daughter, Eileen Musgrave and husband Jerry of Jasper; two sons, Robert Beard of Jasper and Richard Beard and wife Darlene of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was one son, Ronald Beard; sisters, Anna Linne, Helen Seng, and Lorena Fritz; and brothers, William, Walter, Harry, Andrew, Oscar Leo, and Roman Beckman.

Funeral services for Sally Beard will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, IN. The St. Joseph St. Ann’s Society will pray a rosary at 3:45 p.m.
