Rosella R. Kluesner, 97

Rosella R. Kluesner, 97, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at the Timbers of Jasper.

Rosella was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 7, 1917 to George and Catherine (Prechtel) Streicher. She married Othmar Kluesner on January 2, 1941 in St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1987.

Rosella worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken for eight years, and after that she babysat for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She loved dancing and playing cards.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Haase, and her husband Gerald, of Celestine; three sons, Edward Kluesner, and his wife, Nancy, of Jasper; Donald Kluesner, and his wife, Sharon, of Jasper; and Dennis Kluesner of Haysville; eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Streicher, and his wife Martina, of Jasper.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are one son, Ronald Kluesner, who died in infancy, granddaughter, Donna Kluesner, four sisters, Esther Wahl, Marie Burger, Viola Streicher, and Betsy Streicher, , and one brother, Ralph Streicher.

Funeral services for Rosella R. Kluesner will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church.
