Rose Mary Englert, age 72, of Huntingburg, Indiana passed away at 4:17 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at The Timbers of Jasper.

Rose was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 22, 1941 to Isaac and Otilla (Wilbers) Chandler. She married Melvin Englert on April 21, 1963. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1988.

Rose retired from OFS Plant #5, where she had worked for over 25 years.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, and the Women of the Moose in Jasper.

She loved playing bingo, listening to the band, Starbound, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon McCraney, and her husband, Mark, of Long Island, N.Y.; two sons, Mike Englert, and his wife, Silvia, of Quirnheim, Germany, and Virgil Englert, and his wife, Nancy, of Jasper; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Rafferty and Patricia Lindauer, both of Evansville;

Preceding her in death is one sister, Betty Williams.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Moose in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date. Refreshments will be served following the service. Fr. Gary Kaiser will be the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Dubois County Humane Society.
