Rose Betty Corey, 101

Rose Betty Corey, age 101 of Jasper passed away at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday (March 6, 2012) in Brookside Village in Jasper.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 2, 1910 to Max and Mollie (Rosenberg) Baskind. She married Harold Corey he preceded her in death on February 21, 2011. They were married for 77 years.

She was a graduate of University of Chicago.

Rose Corey was a substitute Elementary Teacher in Chicago School System for over 25 years. She was a strong supporter of the Salvation Army.

He enjoyed traveling with her late husband.

Two daughters,

  • Mrs. David (Gale) Nunn, Eckerty, Indiana
  • Mrs. Eugene (Lynne) Uretz, Libertyville, IL

Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Private services were held at the Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper.
