Rose Anna Rasche, 68, Jasper

Rose Anna Rasche, 68, of Jasper, passed away surrounded by family at 3:02 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper.

Rose was born in Jasper on April 6, 1958, to Ernest and Mary Ann (Beckman) Rasche.

She graduated from Marian Heights Academy in Ferdinand and Indiana University School of Business.

She worked in accounting at Kimball International and North American Products before spending 32 years with Masterbrand Cabinets; she retired in 2018.

She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, where she served as Homebound and Bereavement Minister, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and lector. She was a member of the church’s Prayer Shawl Ministry, where she crocheted hundreds of prayer shawls for cancer patients, and co-chaired the Christmas Bazaar. She was a member of the Parish Life Commission and served as treasurer for many years of the St. Anne’s Society and Jasper Circle 140 Daughters of Isabella. She received a Diocese of Evansville Simon Brute Award.

She enjoyed volunteering for St. Joseph Parish and at the Deaconess Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, visiting the elderly, traveling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by eight siblings: Robert, Dorothy, Martha and Ralph Rasche (Amanda) of Jasper, Clara Fromme and Sandy Hemmerlein (Jason) of Jasper, Barbara Brown of Taswell and Pat Rasche (Tonya) of Greenwood; two godchildren, Matt (Kristen) Fromme of Jasper and Ella Rasche of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and other nieces and nephews. 

Preceding her in death are two brothers-in-law, Glenndyl Fromme and John Brown.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Anna Rasche will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Celestine Cemetery in Celestine, Indiana. The D of I and St. Anne’s will pray a rosary at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
