Rosalee Stemle, 91, Jasper

Rosalee Stemle, 91, of Jasper, passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Rosalee was born on August 20, 1926, in Ireland, Ind., to Leo and Rosina (Giesler) Hoffman. She married Lawrence “Lefty” Stemle on October 30, 1948, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2013.

Rosalee was a graduate of Ireland High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Leed’s Selling Tools and Braunecker Cabinet Company. She enjoyed playing golf and cards.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

She is survived by two sons, Steve (Peggy) Stemle of Owensboro and Pat (Deb) Stemle of Jasper; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one sister, Catty Ash.

Funeral services for Rosalee Stemle will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, with burial in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
