Ronald Ray Harris, 82

Ronald Ray Harris, age 82, of St. Henry, Indiana, passed away at 6:06 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born October 26, 1931 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Charles E. and Mary (Taylor) Harris. He married Mildred A. Abell on December 27, 1958 at Calvary Baptist Church in Huntingburg.

Ronnie was a retired furniture worker and self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed leather working as a pastime.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Collis Harris, Crelles Harris and Carlas Harris; and three sisters, Alberta DeFur, Marcella Reed and Daretha Whitledge.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred A. Harris of St. Henry; one brother, Robert Harris of Missouri; and by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ronald Harris will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery near Birdseye. Pastor Bret Eckert and Brother Ron Fischer will officiate at the services.
