Ronald Gary Mason, 80, Huntingburg

Ronald Gary Mason, 80, of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:43 p.m., on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at his home.

He was born August 9, 1938, in Spurgeon, Indiana to Henry Sutton and Inza (Nikon) Mason. He married Lois Tribbie on September 12, 1981, at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Chapel.

Ron worked as a mechanical engineer for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. He was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper and former member of the Spurgeon Baptist Church and Ridgecrest Baptist Church in St. Charles, Missouri.  Ron served in the Army National Guard. He was a 50-year member of the Masons and current member of the Winslow Masonic Lodge #260 F&AM and the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Mason of Huntingburg; two children, Pamela Mason of St. Louis, Missouri and Gary Mason of St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon Henke of Ellisville, Missouri and Ruth Ann Fowler of Silvis, Illinois; by three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services for Ronald Mason will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the Spurgeon General Baptist Church in Spurgeon, Indiana with burial to follow at the Spurgeon Cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. EST Tuesday, September 18, 2018, also at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.  The Winslow Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
