Ronald C. Meyer, 84, Saint Meinrad

Ronald C. Meyer, 84, of Saint Meinrad, passed away on Thursday August 1, 2019, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. 

Ron was born November 7, 1934, in Saint Meinrad to Henry and Rose (Schwindel) Meyer. He was united in marriage to Patsy Wetzel on April 15, 1961, in Saint Meinrad Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2010.

Ron was a member of Saint Meinrad Parish. He served in the United States Army and Indiana National Guard. He retired from Abbey Press in 2002 after over 50 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He was a St. Louis Cardinal and Indiana Pacers fan.

Surviving are two daughters, Debbie (Bob) Stevens of Evansville and Kathy (Bill) Wirthwein of Ferdinand; two sons, Rod (Krista) Meyer of Evansville and Rick (Nichole) Meyer of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Josh Meyer, Mitchell Stevens, Jordyn Meyer, Bella Meyer, Ava Meyer, Ryke Meyer, and Reid Meyer. 

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. CDT Tuesday, August 6, 2019, in Saint Meinrad Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. CDT and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at the church.
