Roman Schroeder, age 84 of Jasper, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 20, 2013) at his home.

He was born in Jasper June 8, 1928 to Edward J. and Theresa (Reyling) Schroeder. He married Patricia McCormack February 14, 1950 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.

Roman owned and operated the Schroeder Plumbing & Heating Company in Jasper for many years.

He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Jasper Knight of Columbus and a lifetime member (PHCA) Plumbing, Heating Contractors Association.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

  • Janet Lee and her husband David, Jasper, IN

Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his parents is one son Joseph Schroeder and Three sisters, Calista Kunkel, Pearl and Helen Schroeder.

Funeral services for Roman Schroeder will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (March 23, 2013) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday (March 22, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
