Rollover crash results in OWI charge

Saturday evening, Jasper police arrested a man after he crashed and rolled his car at the intersection of South Newton and Hochgesang Avenue.

Police were called to the crash that occurred at about 3:24 a.m. When they arrived, they found Jonathan Martinez Quintanilla, 30, of Jasper, entrapped in the 2003 Toyota Corolla he had been operating. After being extricated, Quintanilla was transported to Memorial Hospital for his injuries. A chemical test revealed he had a .22 BAC.

Police charged Quintanilla with OWI over .15 BAC and cited him for never being licensed.

Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, Jasper Volunteer Fire Department, Dubois County Sheriff’s Office and a Sternberg’s wrecker assisted at the scene.
