Roger “Tubber” Klee, 72, of Jasper passed away at 11:53 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at home.

Roger was born in Jasper on December 4, 1942 to Linus and Aurelia (Seng) Klee. He married Mary Jane Steffen on July 6, 1968 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.

Roger retired from the city of Jasper after 38 years of service. Working first as a lineman, then as a meter reader. He was a veteran of the Indiana Army National Guard, where he served for 6 years. Roger was a member of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department for ten years, a member of the American Legion Post #147, and the Jasper Outdoor Recreation. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, and their Holy Name Society.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed watching sports, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Klee of Jasper; one daughter, Angie Evans and husband Eric of Dale; three sons, Steve Klee and wife Renee’ of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mark Klee and wife Dawn of Jasper and Chris Klee and wife Charley of Evansville; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Melva Byrd and husband Bob of Lebanon, Ind. and Iris Gutgsell of Jasper.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Roger “Tubber” Klee will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military gravesite rites.

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. The St. Joseph Parish will pray a rosary at 2:45 p.m.
